Canada has two official languages: English and French. If you’re 18 to 54 years of age, you must show that you can speak and listen at the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 4 or higher. Nurses are in high demand in Canada, and it is an attractive destination to grow their careers. Registered Nurses with a National Occupational Classification (NOC) 3012 provide direct nursing care to patients, administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician and assist in surgery and other medical procedures. International nurses with such qualifications may come to Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker or secure a provincial nomination certificate under the Provincial Nominee Program. EXPRESS ENTRY To qualify for Express Entry under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), Nurses must meet the program requirements. They need to score 67 out of 100 possible points based on factors like their education, age, work experience, and language proficiency. They must receive a minimum of CLB 7 on each of the four language abilities (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing) to be eligible for Express Entry. Once eligible, they can submit an Express Entry profile, receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score out of 1,200. Periodically, the Express Entry pool's highest-ranking candidates are issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence. Provincial Nominee Program(PNP)
Another possible immigration option, each province in Canada, operates its PNP with multiple streams and may lead to Canadian permanent residence. Some provinces target Express Entry Registered Nurse candidates in their streams, and if approved, they are granted an additional 600 CRS points, virtually guaranteeing an ITA.
