Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced an innovative pathway to permanent residence for over 90,000 essential workers and international graduates who possess the skills and experience to fight the pandemic and accelerate Canada’s economic recovery. Candidates for all six pathways must be in Canada with valid temporary resident status and be physically present in Canada when the application for permanent residence is received and when the application is approved and intends to reside in a province or territory other than Quebec. This tool will make it easier for applicants by chatting with VIE, our Chatbot, or answering a few questions using the questionnaire to verify their eligibility for submitting the permanent residence application beginning on May 6, 2021. If found eligible, you will receive an email from Impart Immigration Consulting should you require assistance with your application. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will begin accepting applications on May 6, 2021, until November 5, 2021, or until the streams reached their limit.
